Derby Cheers is the national grand prize winner and official Kentucky Derby Mint Julep collectible bottle's painting. It was on every mint julep bottle used at the Kentucky Derby in 2011. Brown-Forman let us print just 1,500 limited edition prints of the original painting they purchased.
The inside scoop: This painting is dedicated to celebrating with the family and friends we love. This print shows the full painting, unlike the bottle. I used my family and friends as some of the models. My awesome father had passed only a few weeks before I painted this, and he and my closest family are on the far right, and also in the middle. I actually have seen people toasting each other with mint juleps at the track, just like in Derby Cheers.
